Owner - Licensed commercial diver, servicing all of Southwest Florida for over 25 years. Steve is a well respected marine mechanic, performing situations said to be impossible, under the water. Steve works on shafts, propellers, shaft seals, cutlass bearings, and all underwater running gear.
Brian Moister
Diver - Advanced open water diver, servicing the underwater marine community since 1990. Performs underwater mechanical cleaning and repairs required by yacht management services. Brian has been with Steve Whitney Diving for 14 years.
IMPORTANCE OF BOTTOM CLEANING YOUR VESSEL
If you keep your boat in salt water for more than a few days, barnacles will start to grow on the bottom and they secrete a glue like substance to stick to the surface. These barnacles and other growth need to be cleaned off / removed at least once a month.
Barnacles increase boat fuel consumption, affect how fast you can go (slow you down), damage hull surfaces, obstruct water intakes, and are also an eye sore!
Our divers Steve and Brian work with the most competitive prices for the best bottom cleans in our area. They aren’t just cleaning the bottom of your boat, but also checking the props, anodes, zincs, taking note of the bottom paint condition, and doing extra projects with us to help our clients boat improvement's such as patching leaks or installing a swim ladder.
